The Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) is the region's long-range transportation plan. The MTP is currently being updated, and the draft plan is the Transitions 2045 MTP.

The Mid-Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (MRMPO) leads the development of the plan and works with the public, stakeholders, and local agencies in the Albuquerque Metropolitan Planning Area to identify multimodal transportation needs in the next 20+ years. Strategies and projects to meet those needs will be identified in the plan.
